When chip-tuning gets too mainstream: Six-String NES

It might look like a banjo, but this thing can rock!

IT'S hard to imagine going on stage with a guitar made out a Nintendo console (unless you're Anamaguchi, those guys are awesome!) but hey, stranger combination has occurred.

These custom-made NES guitars are brought to you by GetLoFi, and each NESitar (I totally made that up) are made from an empty NES casing filled with all innards that makes up a guitar, attached with a guitar neck and held together brilliantly by the six-strings.

The sound that this coming from the guitar is nothing short of what you can expect from a standard guitar, with the added feature of total geekiness.

As of today, despite the fact these Nintendo Guitars are sold out from their store, these guys are still accepting orders! Although, it could take up to two months for them to make these beauties, I'd say that you can use that waiting time to learn how to play the Super Mario Bros Theme, air guitar style!

Meanwhile, you can watch Packy from I Fight Dragons playing his rendition of the Tetris theme song with the Nintendo Guitar.
