NEWS | Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Set to Receive Free Title Update 5 with New Monsters and Gear
MONSTER Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is set to receive a free Title Update 5 on April 20, 2023, as announced by Dame Fiorayne during the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event. This update will bring two new monsters, Risen Shagaru Magala and Amatsu, both posing a significant challenge to players.
Amatsu, an Elder Dragon, can control the weather and summon storms and lightning strikes, which are said to have destroyed an entire city. Risen Shagaru Magala, on the other hand, has used its power to infect Qurio and has taken an even more formidable form. Hunters can take on Amatsu from MR10 and Risen Shagaru Magala at MR180. Players who are successful in defeating these monsters will be rewarded with materials and components to craft new gear complete with unique skills.
In addition to the new monsters, Title Update 5 also increases the level cap for Anomaly Investigations to 300, allowing players to tackle more challenges. Two Risen Elder Dragons have been added to Anomaly Research Quests, and the Melding Pot has been updated to allow for even more skill customization with the new "Qurious Melding" feature.
The update also introduces new Special Investigations, featuring monsters with power-ups such as increased strength and far-reaching attacks. More Event Quests are also coming, offering various rewards such as poses, layered armour, hairstyles, and Lagombi Ears. Paid DLC options include face painting, layered armour, hairstyles, and more. Players can also relax to the laid-back tunes of the "Monster & Elgado Music: Chill Version" paid BGM pack.
Players can watch the April Digital Event on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel and download the new trailer and additional assets from the Capcom Press Center. With the new free Title Update 5, players can continue their hunt for new monsters and gear in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will release for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation®4 on April 28, 2023. At launch, it will contain content up to Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13), which includes harrowing encounters such as Chaotic Gore Magala.
