WHILE not all of us celebrate the holiday season, there's always that odd chance that you will get invited to take part in the festivities of some form or other. And if for some reason you got yourself a gamer to gift to and have no idea what to get, then you can use this simple guide to decide the perfect gift for this lucky person.
In light of the pandemic, we've curated a list of local businesses you can easily get for some really unique gifts without having to wait for shipping.
Now without further adieu:
1. Bargain games at retailers
2020 is the dawn of a new generation console, so you can expect previous generation games are going out on a sale. Brand new games are a treat, but oftentimes, it's the thought that counts. Some older PS3, Vita, 3DS even PS4 titles are going on a permanent sale at places like Game Central or ETA at the Mall. The price can range between BND15 and above depending on the title. Cube store such as El-Baz is also a great way to find bargains on recent titles, that is if you don't mind gifting them a second-hand item.
2. Gaming Accessories
Screen protector for the Nintendo Switch or a thumbstick grip for the Dual Shock, these are viable options. If you want something a bit special, D&D dices from wildmagic.store should do the trick.
3. Gaming related toys
Whether you go to Toys R Us, Toys Collectors Alley or ToysPlay, finding the perfect knick-knacks as gifts are so much easier now.

8. Streaming Capture devices
It used to be that streaming devices can get a pricy and the PC requirement might put off some from starting anything. Nowadays you can get these at a relatively cheap price, a great gift for a colleague aspiring to be a YouTuber. Even if they have their own equipment, it doesn't hurt to have extra handy. Check out the Shenzhi Tech Portable Audio Video Capture Card.

10. A Netflix subscription
If you think your colleague could benefit from some video game knowledge, you could always get them a month's subscription to Netflix. In this year alone we enjoyed watching video game based movies such as Dragon Quest My Story and documentaries series such as The Toys That Made Us and High Score along with classic movies such as DOOM to start off. If not their cup of tea, at least they'll enjoy a month's worth of movies and series to binge-watch.
Often time these gift-giving event limits the spending that starts from BND5 up to BND20. While some of the items here does go well beyond the budget, it's really up to you whether this person deserves a bit of extra in their gift. If you plan to ship some these in, there's no better time than now to start shopping.
Just in case you feel extra generous and need to splurge over the allocated budget limit, a gamer will always appreciate a new next-generation console or handheld seeing as there is currently a shortage of these at the moment. We would also be remiss if we don't mention Super Geeks & Things if you would like to gift them with some vintage retro games.
