NEWS | Redemption Reapers Launches Next Week on Steam, PS4, and Switch
REDEMPTION Reapers, the much-anticipated dark fantasy tactical RPG developed by Adglobe and published by Binary Haze Interactive, is set to release next week on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, on Steam for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The impending launch is being celebrated with a new cinematic trailer that provides a glimpse into the game's plot.
The trailer showcases the aftermath of the Mort invasion, introducing players to Sarah, an orphan rescued and raised by the Ashen Hawk Brigade. Players will follow Sarah's journey as she becomes a savior by comforting Naki, a young boy rescued by the Brigade just like she was. Naki, the lone survivor of the attack on Inissa Village, is eager to do his part in the battle against evil and joins the Brigade as one of many characters defending the remnants of humanity.
Redemption Reapers offers a wide range of strategic possibilities, allowing players to deploy additional allies to turn the tides of war. The game features abandoned villages, castles, tunnels, and snowfields that players must skillfully navigate to protect innocent villagers and important figures on the path towards redemption. Players can unleash each character's ultimate strength by utilizing special skills to carve a path through enemies and boost the attributes of nearby teammates.
The game boasts an impressive creative team, including director Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who produced ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights. The game balance design is courtesy of tactical RPG veteran Masayuki Horikawa, series director of Fire Emblem and planner for Kingdom Hearts III. Other notable members of the team include Tomokazu Fukushima, who worked on the scenario for Metal Gear Solid and Freedom Wars, Rei Kondoh, who provided the music for the Bayonetta series and Fire Emblem series, and character designer Yoko Tsukamoto.
Redemption Reapers will be available for purchase at $49.99, with Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), and Korean-language support, as well as voiceover options in English and Japanese. The game offers over 25 hours of gameplay, with an unlockable hard mode available upon completing a first playthrough. Fans of tactical RPGs and dark fantasy will undoubtedly be looking forward to the release of Redemption Reapers. — Geeks Republika
