NEWS | Dead by Daylight's New Chapter Introduces Tech-Driven Killer and Sibling Survivors

DEAD by Daylight, the popular multiplayer action horror game is set to launch its 27th chapter called "Tools of Torment" on March 7, 2023. The new chapter introduces The Skull Merchant, the first original modern female slasher in the game, as well as Thalita and Renato Lyra, the first sibling Survivors to be added to the game.

The Skull Merchant, whose real name is Adriana Imai, is a wealthy tech executive who buys and absorbs smaller companies during the day and quenches her bloodlust by hunting people at night. Her power, called "Eyes in the Sky," is the first time a killer in Dead by Daylight has access to modern tech. She uses four drones to surveil Survivors and has crafted each drone around the skull of a former victim.

Thalita and Renato Lyra are siblings who hail from Brazil and are known for their positive, creative, and caring qualities. They run a kite-flying business and mentor children from the area. In Dead by Daylight, they fight for their lives together in The Fog and have unique Teamwork Perks that benefit those who choose to work together.

The new chapter also includes an update to the Shelter Woods Map which now features The Skull Merchant's Hunting Camp. The Hunting Camp is made up of connected shipping containers that represent both sides of Adriana Imai's twisted world. The upper container is the Killer's executive suite while the Grim Workshop, where The Skull Merchant tinkers to build her tools and houses her gruesome trophies, lies beneath it.

Tools of Torment will be available on March 7, 2023, on Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Epic Games Store, Windows Store, and Nintendo Switch.
