NEWS | Deathtrap Dungeon gets a New Life as an Interactive Video Game on Nintendo Switch

FANS of the classic Fighting Fantasy gamebook, Deathtrap Dungeon, will soon be able to experience the beloved fantasy book in a new format. Branching Narrative and Nellyvision has announced the release of Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure, starring British actor Eddie Marsan as narrator and guide. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch in Quarter 2, 2023.

Originally released in 1984, Deathtrap Dungeon challenges players to survive the Trial of Champions, which takes place in the labyrinth of Fang. Full of fiendish traps and deadly creatures set by the devious Baron Sukumvit, the game is arguably the most popular book in the Fighting Fantasy series.

The Interactive Video Adventure offers unrivalled gameplay in the Interactive Fiction genre. Players can choose between the original mechanics used in the book or a more modern gaming style. Roll the dice, create your character and set your adventure in motion.
