NEWS | Blue Isle Studios’ LEAP Lands on PlayStation and Xbox with Overwolf Modding Partnership

BLUE ISLE Studios, an independent video game developer, announced the launch of their latest team-based, aerial, first-person shooter game called LEAP, available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. 

As part of its launch, LEAP has partnered with Overwolf, an all-in-one modding leader, to offer a steady stream of community-created content, including map variants and unique game modes. With the collaboration, LEAP offers players diverse official maps, modes, private servers, and a robust content roadmap to explore.

LEAP comes with an array of user-generated content, including content from Overwolf modders. Players can engage in Sniper vs. Runners, where they can snipe runners from a distance as a sniper, or dodge snipers' bullets as runners on a vertical parkour map. Another mode available is LEAP Hardpoint, created by Lukas, which randomizes players’ weapons by requiring everyone to vote for them. Overwolf modder Eru also created Only Dragons, where players can replace all vehicles with dragons.

Through the "LEAP Design Works," players can design their own maps, modes, or weapons. The modding suite provides new modding features that allow fans to modify almost anything in LEAP, including character skins, vehicles physics, and weapon redesign. LEAP aims to encourage creators to design content that will be featured within the game on both PC and console.

LEAP offers a unique gameplay experience, allowing players to select from four unique hero classes, each delivering a distinct balance of power, agility, and defense, along with epic abilities that bring shock and awe to their foes. Large-scale combat takes place on a variety of stages, and skilled mercenaries use jetpacks, grappling hooks, and highly distinctive Personal Vehicles to close the distance on control points and active firefights. — Geeks Republika
