BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, December 11, 2019 - Film-noir inspired buddy-cop adventure Chicken Police is set to ruffle some feathers in 2020 with this surreal trailer.
Chicken Police is a story and dialogue-heavy game combining elements of the visual novel and classic adventure genres.
Player takes the role Sonny Featherland and Marty MacChicken, aka the “Chicken Police”, once a legendary detective-duo - now a washed-up wreck and a wannabe star-detective on a quest to solve a mysterious case while also facing the demons of their dark past on this journey through the crooked city of Clawville.
The story promises narrative insipired by the best noir detective stories with a side of cynical humor.
With story and absurd humor, all mixed up with elements of story-rich adventures and a visual novel style dialogue system, complete with a complex interrogation mechanic, detective gameplay and an ever-changing city.
Right off the bat, the the game employs a stunningly peculiar visual style with artistic photo-manipulation and lifelike 3D backgrounds.
The game boasts 30 characters to talk to, with some requiring you to apply fierce interrogation tactics. Player can collect clues, evidence and sensitive personal information from the shady characters of Clawville and use it against them.
