NEWS | ES88 Returns as Psychic Detective in Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, Set for Q3 2023 Release

MIDBOSS and Chorus Worldwide have announced the release of their upcoming narrative point-and-click adventure game, Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER. 

The game will be a sequel to their 2017 title, 2064: Read Only Memories, and is set to be released in Q3 2023 on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, Xbox One & Series X|S, PlayStation 4 & 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

In the game, players will once again return to Neo San Francisco, where they will play as ES88, a psychic detective who will use the mind-reading amplification abilities of a bioengineered creature known as a Neurodiver. Players will be tasked with exploring the corrupted memories of the city's residents while pursuing a rogue esper known as the Golden Butterfly.

The game will feature a dynamic story by Sina Grace, who is best known for his work on DC's Iceman, Image Comics' The Walking Dead, and IDW's Read Only Memories. Samantha Ortiz, who previously worked on Neon White and Comunicación, will handle the writing duties for the game.

The trailer released by the developers showcases the game's psychic abilities, which will be a key feature in the game. Players will have to use their psychic powers to solve puzzles, uncover hidden secrets, and navigate through the city's various locations.

Players who are interested in the game can play the standalone Pilot Memories prologue on Steam and Epic Games Store. The prologue will serve as an introduction to the game's world and characters and will give players a taste of what to expect from the full game.
