NEWS | Get a Sneak Peek of the Upcoming Hogwarts Legacy Game with Launch Trailer

THE HIGHLY anticipated open-world action role-playing game, Hogwarts Legacy, is set to launch on February 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. In advance of the launch, Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have released the launch trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the magic that awaits them.

Set in the 1800s wizarding world, players will become a fifth-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and embark on an epic journey filled with thrilling challenges and mysteries. With a rare ability to tap into ancient, powerful magic, players will defend Hogwarts against deadly enemies and uncover the secrets of the wizarding world's forgotten past.

Throughout their journey, players will be able to explore new and familiar locations, discover magical creatures, craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents, and customize their character to become the witch or wizard they want to be. The open world of Hogwarts Legacy is vast and immersive, offering players the opportunity to fly over the Scottish Highlands and explore hamlets, forests, and more.

In the combat gameplay, players can bring tools like potions and plants into battle to defeat enemies more efficiently. The Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, Thestral Mount, and Dark Arts Battle Arena are available exclusively in the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or for purchase in-game. Players will also have the opportunity to personalize the Room of Requirement and conjure objects into the space, as well as customize and upgrade their gear through the use of the Loom. Additionally, players will be able to care for magical beasts, such as Graphorns, Nifflers, Kneazles, and Mooncalves, and use the magical ingredients they receive from them to customize and upgrade their gear.

Hogwarts Legacy features a star-studded voice cast, including Simon Pegg as Phineas Nigellus Black, the cantankerous Headmaster of Hogwarts; Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething as the two voice options for the game’s playable avatar; Lesley Nicol as Professor Matilda Weasley; Kandace Caine as Professor Onai; and Sohm Kapila as Professor Satyavati Shah.
