SCI-FI action-adventure game, Scars Above, has finally been released digitally and in stores today. Developed by Serbian studio Mad Head Games and published by Prime Matter, the game promises a challenging third-person action experience set in a mysterious alien world.

The game's plot centers around a colossal and enigmatic alien structure that appears in Earth's orbit and stuns the entire world. The Sentient Contact Assessment and Response team (SCAR), consisting of scientists and engineers, is sent to investigate. However, things take a turn for the worse when the team is hauled across space onto a mysterious extrasolar planet, and Dr. Kate Ward, a SCAR member, wakes up dazed and alone in a strange, hostile environment.

The game is designed to combine the rewarding feel of overcoming difficulty with a compelling and intricate story that players must unravel as they explore the alien world. The game's protagonist, Kate, is an astronaut and a scientist, not a soldier, but she is resourceful and determined to survive.

Players will need to use a combination of ranged weapons, devices, consumables, and melee attacks, while managing their stamina, to defeat the alien threats on the planet. They can also combine different elemental attacks to break through impassable obstacles and craft various items and gadgets to aid them in their mission.

The game also boasts involvement from YouTube star and music producer, The Dooo, who composed a track for the title.
