NEWS | Toxic Crusaders Returns After 30-Year Absence from Video Games
Retroware, a video game developer that specialises in creating retro-inspired games for modern consoles and PC, is set to release an all-new, all-action beat 'em up game called Toxic Crusaders in all of its retro-pixel glory.
Toxic Crusaders is set in the fictional town of Tromaville, which is under attack by the evil Dr. Killemoff, who plans to pollute the planet. The Toxic Crusaders, a team of hideously deformed creatures of superhuman size and strength, must defend Tromaville from hordes of Radiation Rangers, mutated thugs, and zombie chickens.
The game features seven disgusting levels rendered in beautiful full-colour pixel art, as well as a stunning soundtrack that will take players back to the 1990s. Players can choose from seven playable characters, including Toxie, No-Zone, Junkyard, Major Disaster, and Headbanger.
Retroware is committed to delivering unforgettable gaming experiences that capture the magic of retro gaming on modern platforms. The company's focus is on delivering fun, challenging, and engaging gameplay experiences that appeal to both old-school gamers and newcomers alike.
Retroware's portfolio includes a range of original IP titles, such as Eagle Island Twist, a procedurally generated, roguelike, Metroidvania, and Angry Video Game Nerd 1&2 Deluxe, a retro-inspired platformer that celebrates the classic games of the past. — Geeks Republika
