In celebration of the global fan base of Pokémon, The Pokémon Company International revealed a digital mosaic styled after the iconic Poké Ball. The mosaic is composed of photos and videos submitted by fans showcasing their love for Pokémon as part of a full-year brand campaign inviting them to "Pokémon Together."

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: Downloadable Content for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is a new DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, which surpassed 10 million combined unit sales in the first three days after their global launch on November 18, 2022. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero consists of two different adventures, Part 1: The Teal Mask, launching in fall 2023, and Part 2: The Indigo Disk, releasing at a later date. Fans can purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero now on the Nintendo eShop.

The Pokémon Company's President and CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara, expressed his gratitude to millions of Trainers around the world who explored the expansive Paldea region and announced that fans would take a trip to the land of Kitakami in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, where they would encounter new Pokémon and exciting characters.

Players can use their current save data from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet to continue their adventure in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, a school trip will take players to the land of Kitakami, where they will join an outdoor study program held jointly between their academy and another school. In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, players will travel to Blueberry Academy, a sister school of their academy, as exchange students. While these two parts tell a connected story, they are split into two tales.

In Part 1: The Teal Mask, players will unravel the mysteries behind the folktales that have been passed down in the land of Kitakami. They will also encounter over 230 familiar Pokémon that have been found living in other regions but had not appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. In both parts, players will encounter new Legendary Pokémon – Ogerpon in Part 1: The Teal Mask, and Terapagos in Part 2: The Indigo Disk. Additionally, players will be able to bring Pokémon to their games via Pokémon HOME or those received in trades.

Pokémon Concierge, Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic, and Pokémon Sleep

The Pokémon Company announced that it is working on a new stop-motion Netflix series called Pokémon Concierge. The new series will feature the iconic Pokémon character Pikachu and will be available soon.

Another exciting announcement is the release of the premium Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic set. This set is perfect for collectors and features some of the most iconic and sought-after cards from the game's history. Fans can expect to see cards like Charizard, Blastoise, and Pikachu, along with other classic Pokémon and Trainer cards. The set also includes a collector's booklet that provides details on the history of the game and its cards.

The Pokémon Company also provided an update on Pokémon Sleep, a mobile app designed to help players improve their sleeping habits. The app tracks the user's sleep patterns and rewards them for achieving certain milestones. Although the app was initially slated for release in 2020, it was delayed, and the company had not provided updates on its progress until now. While there was no specific release date announced, the update suggests that the app is still in development and will be released in the future.

Other exciting announcements include the Pokémon GO Plus + device, which is a new wearable that allows players to play Pokémon GO without using their phone. The device can track the user's steps and also has an accelerometer, which means it can detect when the user is walking or running. This will allow players to hatch eggs and earn rewards without having to constantly check their phones.

Finally, the Pokémon Company revealed a digital mosaic created in celebration of Pokémon Day. The mosaic is made up of photos and videos submitted by fans from around the world and is designed to showcase the global fanbase's passion for the franchise. The mosaic is composed in the style of the iconic Poké Ball and is part of a full-year brand campaign that invites fans to “Pokémon Together.”

Overall, the announcements made during the Pokémon Presents video presentation are sure to excite fans of the franchise. With new downloadable content, a new Netflix series, and updates to popular apps and games, there's something for everyone to look forward to in the coming year. — Geeks Republika
