NEWS | Resident Evil 4 Trailer Unveils New Locations, Enemies, and Gameplay in Latest PlayStation State of Play Event


CAPCOM has released new details about the upcoming release of Resident Evil 4 during PlayStation's State of Play digital event. 

The latest trailer for the game features Leon S. Kennedy navigating through various new environments and encountering new foes, including Jack Krauser. Players will face infected villagers, deranged cultists, and other enemies empowered by the Las Plagas parasite as they attempt to guide Leon and his ward Ashley Graham to safety.


The trailer also announced an upcoming playable demo for Resident Evil 4, as well as the return of "The Mercenaries" mode as free DLC after launch. The game will be available on March 24, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for an MSRP of $59.99.


Players can pre-order the "Deluxe Edition" of Resident Evil 4, which includes additional in-game content such as costumes, weapons, and a treasure map. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will also provide in-game rewards, including the "Attaché Case: Gold" and "Special Charm: Handgun Ammo," while pre-orders of the Deluxe Edition will include the "Attaché Case: Classic" and "Special Charm: Green Herb" items.

Resident Evil 4 is a reimagining of the original game, with updated gameplay and graphics. The game's VR mode is currently in development as a free DLC. — Geeks Republika
