NEWS | Marvel's Midnight Suns adds Venom to the fray with new DLC

MARVEL’s Midnight Suns DLC, Redemption - Venom, is now available for fans of the tactical RPG. Players can add the deadly amalgam of Eddie Brock and an alien symbiote to their team, as the game’s second post-launch DLC, including new recruitable heroes, story missions, and more.

Developed by Firaxis Games, Midnight Suns takes players on an epic adventure, in which they control a team of superheroes and supernatural characters. The tactical RPG blends the thrill of Marvel’s storytelling and iconic superheroes with deep tactical combat, challenging players to combine their skills and unleash powerful attacks on their enemies.

In Redemption, players will recruit Venom to their team, and aid him in righting the wrongs he committed under Lilith’s demonic influence. Blood-sucking vampyres have infested the sewers beneath New York City, but even they quake in fear at the sight of Venom's pitch-black claws and razor-sharp teeth. The goal is to help Venom regain control of his actions and rid NYC of the undead scourge, while unshackling himself from one manipulative demon, which has attracted the attention of another.

Redemption includes a new recruitable hero, Venom, who has 10 unique hero abilities, new story missions, a new Abbey Upgrade called Whisper Web, 3 additional hero skins, 7 Abbey Outfits, and 2 swimsuits for Venom. Players can complete the first story mission, “The Devil's Due,” to recruit Venom to their team. This mission becomes available after completing the “Shattering Expectations” mission at the end of Act One.

Venom is a bursty character with a unique mechanic called Ravenous. He starts off each encounter with three stacks, and each stack increases his base offense. Using an Attack or Heroic uses one stack of Ravenous, which gets refilled a bit each turn. This requires careful play order management to maximize his damage potential, but his abilities can allow him to sustain longer periods of intense power.

Upgrading Whisper Web unlocks the ability to use Intel to modify general missions, applying a random modifier such as switching the mission leader and decreasing the mission difficulty. Upgrading Whisper Web also adds an additional reward to the mission, such as Credits, Blueprints, or Essence.

Redemption - Venom DLC is available for Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Marvel's Midnight Suns is rated “T” for Teen.
