NEWS | TEKKEN 8 Brings Back Nina Williams and Introduces Aggressive Combat System

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. has released new information about the upcoming title TEKKEN 8, the next instalment in the legendary fighting game franchise.

One of the highlights of the new game is the return of Nina Williams, a fan-favorite character from the original TEKKEN. Nina has been reworked for the new-generation platforms and will bring her smooth and deadly fighting style, inspired by martial arts, back to the roster. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Additionally, TEKKEN 8 will feature a new "aggressive" combat system, showcased in a developer video that includes executive director Katsuhiro Harada and chief director Kohei Ikeda. This new system promises to add further depth, weight, and atmosphere to the battles in the game.

TEKKEN 8 will be built using Unreal Engine 5 and will take advantage of the latest consoles to create a visually stunning and immersive experience. The game will pick up after the end of the previous title, focusing on a new rivalry between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.

“The team at Bandai Namco Studios has been hard at work to bring groundbreaking new features to TEKKEN 8,” says Katsuhiro Harada, Chief Producer at Bandai Namco Studios. “We can’t wait to show you more in the months to come!”

TEKKEN 8 is a significant next step for the franchise, with Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. CEO Yoshi Niki saying, “TEKKEN 8 marks the next major chapter in this legendary franchise.” Fans can expect an engaging and immersive experience when the game is released.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. — Geeks Republika
