NEWS | Transport Fever 2: Console Edition Offers a Chance to Build Your Transport Empire on Consoles
NACON and Urban Games have released the first gameplay video with commentary for the highly anticipated Transport Fever 2: Console Edition.
The gameplay video offers an overview of the game mechanics and how players can develop their transport empire using a fictional tropical island in the 1970s as an example. In the game, the prosperity of the transport enterprise is closely tied to the growth of surrounding towns, which increases revenues as the areas become interconnected.
Players can diversify their transport offerings by rolling out a variety of services such as bus, rail, air, and sea, making it easier to serve new areas within the same city and connect them to other urban areas. They can also modernise lines, increase the frequency and capacity of transportation, and add improvements to help traffic circulation.
The game offers improved graphics, a revamped interface, and controls adapted to controllers for an optimized version of the management game. Transport Fever 2: Console Edition is the first transport management game on consoles and offers an opportunity to build all the transport connections required for a town to grow from 1850 to the present day.
Players can control around 200 vehicles, real and historical, including trains, buses, trams, trucks, planes, and ships, and create their own maps on three different landscape types. They can also contribute to the global economy by transporting cargo and passengers and becoming a major player in the town's economy by improving access and trade.
The transport simulation game, which has been a benchmark title in the genre on PC, will make its debut on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on March 9, 2023, and is available for pre-order now. — Geeks Republika
