NEWS | Samus Aran's Journey Complete on Nintendo Switch with Metroid Fusion release
NINTENDO Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can rejoice as Metroid Fusion becomes the latest addition to the Game Boy Advance library today.
This marks the fourth game in the 2D Metroid series and completes Samus Aran's journey on Nintendo Switch from her original adventure in Metroid on NES to her most recent mission in Metroid Dread. Players can now experience the full 2D Metroid saga on the platform.
In Metroid Fusion, Samus is attacked by a deadly X parasite that can mimic the abilities of any creature it infects, including Samus herself. She must destroy the X threat before it spreads to the research station orbiting SR388, and in doing so, players will embark on a critical mission, collecting power-ups such as Morph Ball and Screw Attack along the way. The SA-X, an unstoppable X parasite that mimics Samus, is also on the loose, making the adventure even more dangerous.
Those who want to play the main Metroid series in order can now start with Metroid on NES, followed by Metroid II – Return of Samus on the Game Boy, Super Metroid on the Super NES, and finally, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Dread on Nintendo Switch. Those who are up for a challenge can also try Metroid Prime Remastered, which is available now. — Geeks Republika
