NEWS | Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC Launches Today on Multiple Platforms

THE popular indie roguelike game Dead Cells is back with a brand-new DLC that takes players on a nostalgic journey through the world of Castlevania. Developed by Motion Twin and Evil Empire, Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is available today on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch for $9.99.

Return to Castlevania offers a revamped tribute experience for fans of the classic game. The DLC includes new weapons, enemies, and three deadly bosses to take on in an unprecedented Castlevania mashup. The game features the stunning gothic environments of Dracula's Castle, each corridor, bridge, and balcony painstakingly recreated in the signature art style of Dead Cells. Players can choose to play as 20 iconic characters, including Castlevania legends Richter Belmont and Alucard, and wield 14 brand-new weapons.

In Return to Castlevania, players can take on Dracula, Medusa, and Death himself in the most insane boss fight yet. The DLC includes a massive love letter to the franchise that inspired Dead Cells, and it hosts the most insane boss fight yet. Players can catch a glimpse of what awaits when they finally meet Dracula Beast Form in a no-holds-barred, all-out, batshit boss fight.

The DLC also adds a new pet, Maria Renard's cat, which can be found somewhere in the castle ready to shred your foes to death with her surprisingly powerful claws. Additionally, players can unlock new abilities to take on the various new challenges waiting for them, and there are many Castlevania Easter eggs hidden throughout the game.

Return to Castlevania also features a soundtrack of 51 original Castlevania songs that can be played anywhere in the game, plus 12 of the most famous tracks re-made in the style of Dead Cells for the DLC levels.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is the largest and most ambitious DLC to date for the 8mm+ selling roguelite, and it hosts the ultimate culmination of challenges, detail, and surprises spanning the entirety of Dead Cells' development. — Geeks Republika
