Square Enix has released a free update for its popular strategy role-playing game, The DioField Chronicle. The update, Ver1.20, is now available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
The DioField Chronicle is a game that features a "Real-Time Tactical Battle" (RTTB) system, which allows players and enemy troops to move in real-time. The game has a unique storyline that combines elements of fantasy, medieval and modern elements, making it a popular choice among gamers.
The new update introduces a plethora of new content for players to enjoy, including five new main missions and two sub-missions, new gear, new skills, and a new boss, Behemoth, which is the most powerful enemy that players have faced to date. The update also allows players to learn more about Waltaquin Redditch, a character who was first introduced in the main game, by providing them with five new missions and two new sub-missions.
The new update also introduces a new map area known as the Basement (Camp), and a new Mind Map system, which allows players to explore Waltaquin's choices. Players can now utilize Waltaquin's new weapon type, "Magic Tomes," which is specific to Waltaquin. The Magic Tome brings Necromancy and Necrotiem skills to spawn Skeletal Knights into battle and transform units into Skeletal Dragons.
The DioField Chronicle update Ver1.20 is available at no additional cost for players who already own the base game on any of the platforms as mentioned earlier. Players looking for added challenges can look forward to the Extra Mode as part of the New Game+, where enemy level and parameters, enemy attack power, and more will be adjusted. A new difficulty level, "Very Hard," has also been added to provide a new level of challenge to the main gameplay experience.
